Ilocos 2004: Sunday afternoon

After hours of swimming and taking photos, it was time to head back for Laoag to prepare for the long trip home. Of course a visit to some of Ilocos’s famous churches is too good to pass up, notably the well–known Paoay Church. A round of empanada for everyone, before having dinner and leaving for Manila.

After a very late lunch and some rest, we were soon running and swimming around the Pagudpud beach enjoying the unbelievably clear water and the fine white sand. With the sunset fast approaching, we knew it would be one of the best sunset photoshoots of our lives.

Ilocos 2004: Patapat & Lunch

Just before lunch, we drove to the national road that leads to Cagayan and took photos of this mountainside road (actually, a very long bridge) that is just too beautiful I couldn’t believe there were places like this in the country.
On the way back, we took a quick dip at Mara Ira, a somehow secluded beach just beside the national road. Lunch was about an hour away in the place we’ve all been waiting for — Pagudpud!
