Published in the late evening of September 25, 2004

Around 11 PM last night we had coffee at Starbucks. In Tagaytay. My friends came up with this brilliant idea of driving to Tagaytay just an hour before midnight, just to enjoy a cup of coffee and a bottle of beer from the bar next door.

Just as we were about to leave the *soooperhighway* via the Sta. Rosa Exit, Joey decided to share a nice text joke with everyone:

Meron akong friend name nya joseph rotgam. Hanggang ngayn di nya mapatawad parents nya.

Everyone got the joke except for three of us, all of them Ilocanos. Ramil thinks it’s has some sort of correlation. Ewan ko ha, pero alam ko hindi ako matigil sa kakatawa habang binabasa ni Arvi yung joke para mahanap yung solution!” Hehehe. :)
So, nakuha mo ba yung joke? Don’t spoil it for everyone.

    I immediately understood it was Filipino, just not my language. But hey, have your fun. I’ll have mine, confusing people and getting them in awkward situations ;)

    I did not grow up there, but I tried and darn it after saying it 10x i got it! :D sorry just enjoying your blog and i have this bad habit of starting from old post…I can’t help posting a coment in this one since I feel I really deserve a tap on the shoulder for accomplishing this. (they think I am slow when it comes to jokes:P esp Pinoy jokes) …keep sane :)
