Live design ongoing

The live design is still ongoing, and parts of the site may break. Leave a comment if you see something funny. Yes, I still do read them, I just don’t reply for now until I’ve accomplished certain things.

Warning: Live Design

I’m doing a live redesign on this site, just as I write this. Some pages may look funny, but they’ll be fine probably in a few hours. I’m going for the no–image look, as you can see. Or maybe not. And the complete redesign? I guess my laziness right now leans towards the slim chance […]

Keywords

Playing with the new technorati, I came across several articles listing high–paying keywords in various contextual advertising programs. “Mesothelioma” tops the list, probably an uncommon word to many. I guess this justifies the high click prices for “asbestos” and “cancer,” as they are related topics. “Loans” and “financing” are also multi–dollar keywords. Remember, technorati is […]

Looks good on paper, but his first implementation was rather “faulty.” His highlighting feature was based on the premise that well–known designers and developers were […]

Smarter MT redirects

Just a quick note to MT users: please utilize google’s PageRank–stripping redirect page,as used in the new Blogger and described by Simon Willison. Do away with the redirection used in recent MT versions, it hides the URL from your users. I found this annoying while reading the comments on Scriv’s post on success and thinking […]

Dangerously close

The CSS Vault has been showcasing good CSS–driven designs for some time, linking to some of the best designs around. A few hours ago, I found the newest entry, pointing to this site called aDeuxMains. Now, have a look at Dan Cederholm’s SimpleBits and Doug Bowman’s StopDesign, two well–known sites of famous web designers. Observe […]
