iBlog Talks

I was at iBlog last Saturday with Raych and Joey. Ran into Ederic and Mec, and finally met several pinoy bloggers I’ve been reading regularly, but the highlight of my day was finally meeting The Sassy Lawyer and Yuga, the people behind the popular pinoyblog community. I really enjoyed Dean Alfar’s talk, informative and insanely witty. The Sassy Lawyer discussed weblog traffic and content, providing guidelines for effective blogging. But listening to her talk about trolls on her blog was a bit more entertaining. wink

  2. Hey there. Didn’t know you attended the blog summit, coz I would’ve thanked you personally for your iPAP project, which I use as well. Keep it up dude!

  3. joey: waaah niadto diay si deli?? sayang i missed the sassylawyer.. tulog lang ako the whole afternoon haha

She was there in the afternoon. I saw her walk in, and I’ve been wanting to approach her but for the man she was with… Hahaha! :)

Janette Toral: Thank you for joining the iBlog event! Till next time!

Janette, it was you hosting the event right? I was late so I wasn’t sure, all I knew was the “Janet” written on your nametag. I really wanted to introduce myself, I’ve admired digitalfilipino since the first year I browsed the web. I actually saw you hand yuga a copy of your book, but by then it was too late. Next time! :)

Joachim: I wonder if there are any transcripts of the speeches and presentations of that even. hmmmm????

A podcast would’ve been nice, but I’m not aware of anyone who recorded the talks. The Sassy Lawyer posted parts of her talk on her blog, but that’s minus the beauty of watching her speak live. :)

Dude next time I’ll try to wear a bright T-shirt with iPAP written on it! Hahaha. I’m glad you like the app, wait for the next version, it’s gonna be here soon! See you on the next iBlog meet.

  4. hey, thanks for the link, yeah I read her speech on her site, thanks. yeah, a podcast would be perfect for such events… maybe next year, that would be an added feature.

  5. Hey! May pics ka ba nung blogging summit? Patingin naman. If ever, pwede ko bang gamitin? Credit sa yo, shemps! Thanks, Markku!

PS: Looks like tagaholic ka rin. May del.icio.us ka ba? Furl or Spurl?

Meron akong pics pero konti lang eh, I haven’t had a look if there are good ones. But if I finally post them, sure pwede mo gamitin, basta ikaw. :)

Ako tagaholic? Hmm, wala dito sa blog ko yan, though I’m trying it out in my photos section. I think tags can be used for certain needs, but never as primary navigation. ;)

  7. I will give you credit for the pics that is for sure ;)
    Nice photos. I wish I have a camera too…

    Anyhow, happy blogging! :D
