Bamboo: Light Peace Love

Light Peace LoveI finally have my review of “Light Peace Love,” Bamboo’s sophomore record I mentioned recently. It’s a piece of quality music but not exactly comparable to “As The Music Plays,” and I mean that both in a positive and negative way. “Hallelujah” is no “Noypi,” but it’s beautiful nonetheless. Read on for more of my thoughts.

By the way, reviews.blogger.ph is one of a handful of sites I’m planning, sort of a blog network like 9rules. If you have a site to promote and wanna write, we should talk.

  1. bamboo is such a great talent. magaganda mga songs nila. we should know kasi we’re both musicians… and we know a greatly written song from a sellout. Bamboo definitely writes out of passion and creativity. I just hope na we see more groups that can write with such passion and play with such creativity like bamboo

  2. galing talaga ng Idol ko si kuya Bamboo Mañalac lahat ng songs sa sophomore album nila magaganda pa rin tulad ng 1st album nila lahata maganda πŸ˜€

  3. ASTiG tLaGA ang BAMBOO!! i Love their songs very much after “NOYPi” ngaun “HALLELUJAH” nman! sa aLbum niLang “LiGHT PEACE LOVE” gustong gusto Q ung song n “F.U at I-YOU” gaLing taLaga ni Vic Astig xa LaLo n pag tumutugtog xa!! pati n rin si Ira at Nathan xmpre c Bamboo din!!

  4. i loooove Light Peace Love as much i love their debut album. the lyrics are great. gusto ko ung F.U. especially the part n sinabe nia ung “Fuck You and your friends!” wahahah.. ok din ung Dinner at 6, i love the chorus. sa Children of the Sun, gusto ko ung intro..astig..pero above all i really love Hallelujah, and the part “Bato, bato sa langit. Tamaan wag magalet” lalu n the way he says maga-LET.

  5. ku, great job!

pero listen to it more :p i know you are not the “particular with lyrics” type fella.

“Alpha Beta Omega” shaked my mind and soul, stirred activism once again. The album rocked my world, man! πŸ˜‰ a few songs there, you can surely relate.

  9. Galing tlga ni Vic Mercado, he’s like Virgil Donati… man he’s fast. Di ako magdadalawang isip na sabihing ibang breed na ng pinoy drummer itong si Vic, kc s shows niya, ang lupit nya mag drumsolo w/c is di ko nkkita sa ibang banda. This band will go a long way. Sana marecognize ka na Drummerworld.com para may pinoy nmn tayong maipagmamalaki dun.

  10. both “As the music plays” and “Light Peace Love” albums are good and the best… Thank You so much for the music and more music to come…

Mabuhay ang BAMBOO and Believers (keep on believing)

  17. Sa totoo lang… para sa akin… wala akong makitang maaaring pumalit sa puwesto ni Vic bilang Drummer of the year sa NU… sa ngayon ha… Mahihirapan paniyak ang NU humanap ng mas magaling or kahit kasing galing niya! Ewan ko lang rin…

Light Peace Love is a masterpiece! Bamboo, you did an amazing job! 5 thumbs up! Kayo ang Michaelangelo ng Pinoy Rock Music!

Basta para sakin, panalo parin ang Pambansang banda ng Pilipinas! Kaya naman di nako bibitaw dito!!!

  18. i looove this band!!!! them being a great band is such an understatement.. Light Peace Love is a must-have album. Though some say that it is more mellow than their first album, the lyrics in their sophomore album has more intensity and impact. Bamboo (the band) wasn’t afraid to take a chance in experimenting with their music and that’s what makes them so successful. Did i mention that i love the band? Hehehe..

  19. mahal ko ‘to!!!!
    sobra!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    BELIEVER FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  20. mahal na mahal ko ang bandang itoh! sobra!!
lalo na ang tambolerong c vic!!
